NORTH AMERICA
Chlor-Alkali: A portion of the pending $75/dst price increase has been implemented in the contract market.
Vinyl: EDC netbacks continue to improve, but they are being overshadowed by the returns from vinyls exports.
EUROPE
Chlor-Alkali: Business for Q1 has mainly been concluded between €285-295/dmt fd with some variation.
Vinyl: Given the sluggish downstream market in early 2010, there has been no domestic EDC demand in January.
ASIA
Chlor-Alkali: Asian prices have declined to $180-205/dmt fob.
Vinyl: EDC buying resistance is mounting as suppliers have raised their offers beyond $500/mt cfr for February.
