MARKET NEWS

NORTH AMERICA
Chlor-Alkali: Two US majors have lifted existing TVAs and implemented the $90/dst on caustic soda, but other producers have not.
Vinyl: There is little export activity in the EDC market, though there are reports of bookings for November and December loadings.
EUROPE
Chlor-Alkali: There has been progress with production and the forces majeures on caustic soda have been lifted.
Vinyl: EDC pricing is under pressure due to weakening demand and progress with supply.
ASIA
Chlor-Alkali: The Asian caustic soda market is quiet and spot export prices are largely unchanged at $200-220/dmt fob.
Vinyl: There are renewed efforts to raise EDC prices to the low $400s/mt cfr in response to higher feedstock costs and a more balanced market.
